We LOVE our tenants from Dogfish Head Brewery, Beebe Healthcare, Cadbury, Notting Hill Coffee, Milton Police Department and more! Some of our tenants have been with us for more than 15 years. However, we often have an available rentals when our tenants explore their careers elsewhere or purchase their own homes. Please contact us and we will alert you as soon as we have an available rental home.  

We are unique among rental property owners!
  • We are animal lovers and are active in animal rescue.  We believe that pets are an important part of the family and should always accompany their humans to a new home. That's why we provide pet-friendly rentals to our valued customers and their animal companions.
  • For your convenience, every rental unit includes a clothes washer and a clothes dryer inside each unit, even the downtown Lewes apartments.


Our Rental Policies
  • We adhere to the Fair Housing Act. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, marital or family status, age, ethnicity, race, religion, national origin or disability. 
  • All prospective tenants are screened using National Tenant Network's standard application form and standard DecisionPoint(R) reports.  This includes a credit report, eviction report, a national criminal report and a "Megan's Law" search on each adult applying to live in the unit. We also verify employment status and check references.
  • Heritage Rentals, LLC does not rent to any person who has been convicted of a felony or is a "Megan's Law" offender. We also do not rent to any person who has previously been evicted by a landlord or has a judgement against them from a landlord-tenant court action.
  • We provide pet-friendly rentals to responsible humans with animal companions.  In homes with carpet, there may be a small deduction from the damage deposit to cover carpet cleaning. 
  • Rent is due on the 1st of each month and late on the 6th of each month, unless otherwise agreed in writing. A 5% late fee will be assessed for all late rent payments.  For bounced checks, a $35 returned check fee applies.
  • Existing tenants may choose to move from unit to unit within our portfolio of homes, as availability allows. We are happy to transfer the deposit and the lease to a new unit for any tenant with a good payment and property care history.  
  • Heritage Rentals, LLC prides itself on the safe and comfortable condition of each unit. Please report any problems or repair needs to us as soon as they arise. We pledge to repair problems efficiently and fairly. 
  • Tenants may choose to pay rent using Paypal with no service charge to the tenant. We also accept cash, personal or bank checks, and money-orders. 
  • Heritage Rentals, LLC cannot refund any portion of a damage deposit to tenants who are, in any way, in default on their lease.
Privacy Policy

Heritage Rentals, LLC is committed to protecting your privacy.  Heritage Rentals, LLC does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. The only party with whom we share information is the National Tenant Network because they run our credit and screening reports.
